Restoring weathered wood
Decks and porches take the hardest Wisconsin weather. Each project starts with cleaning and preparation: scraping between boards, brushing off debris and sweeping. On porches and concrete, loose particles are swept and removed before the final coat. Then comes a stain or floor-grade paint made for surfaces that are walked on.
Steps and railings are finished with the same care as interior trim, with clean lines between treads and risers and every baluster coated.

Read all reviews on GoogleRandy did a very nice job with painting our deck. He was punctual and kept us up to date through the process. Communication was great- and he was a hard worker.
Randy's crew, at Off The Wall, did a great job on our exterior. They explained everything that they were going to do in detail and worked with us to make sure all the project details were completed, before he started the work. They even showed up on time and left no messes when they left. The house looks AMAZING! Thanks Randy and the folks at Off The Wall.
Randy is professional and highly skilled. I highly recommend him to assist with any exterior or interior painting needs.

Common questions
Have a question that isn't answered here? Call (262) 416-7928.
Is deck staining or deck painting the better choice?
Stain shows the wood grain and is easier to maintain. Paint gives a solid color. We recommend the right option at the estimate visit.
Do you pressure wash decks?
No, pressure washing is no longer offered. Every project still starts with thorough cleaning and preparation.
Do you sand decks and porches?
Yes. When a porch or deck is peeling badly, sanding is part of the preparation before staining or painting.
When can decks be stained?
Deck work is weather-dependent and is usually scheduled from late spring through early fall.
How long does a deck project take?
Most standard decks take 2 to 3 days. A larger multi-tier deck can take up to a week.
What products do you use?
Primarily Sherwin-Williams, including Super Deck and Woodscapes solid color stain.
How far out are you scheduling?
Interior projects can usually be scheduled within a few weeks. Exterior work is booked further ahead because Wisconsin's painting season is short.
Are estimates free?
Yes. Call (262) 416-7928 or use the estimate form, and we'll schedule a time to see the project and send a written estimate.
